Payment to our author Richard Gauntlett includes an amount to
Great Ormond Street Hospital
in respect of royalties.
J M Barrie gifted the rights to Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1929.
An ammendment to the Copyright Designs & Patents Act of 1988 gives
Great Ormond Street Hospital the unique right to royalties from Peter Pan in perpetuity.
Director
— Joe de Mounteney
Joe (Prince Charles 2009 and Nurse Nitwit 2011)
has swapped his frock for a Director's megaphone!
When asked what principles underpin his directing style,
he refers to the ancient Chinese proverb:
Unless you know for which port you're sailing, no wind is favourable.
Unless it's Panto, in which case any wind is generally good wind.
Choreographer
— Deborah Heath
Deborah first started dancing at the age of 3.
She appeared in numerous shows and pantomimes
and once danced at the royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford.
At university Deborah became involved in International Athletics
and devoted all her spare time for several years
to distance running and marathons.
When she gave up competitive running she established
a successful interior design business and returned to her first love,
the theatre this time focusing on choreography.
Deborah has choreographed a number of shows including
Aladdin
in both Madrid and Hurst
and our productions of
Jack and the Beanstalk
and
Babes in the Wood.
Musical Director
— Liz Wade (Liz Drew - professionally)
Liz studied in London and Hannover.
She is principally a clarinettist,
playing regularly with the
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
She has appeared as a soloist at all the major London venues and as an orchestral clarinettist at the principal concert halls throughout Europe.
Liz is a member of the examining panel for the
Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
and teaches for London and Oxford Universities.
She is Musical Director for the youth venture, Henley Festival Orchestra - a project in its sixth year, run by
Henley Festival.
Liz is delighted to be joined in the band by her husband Giles and son Hugo,
and very grateful to Matt and Darryl for their invaluable contribution to musical matters.
