Hurst Morris People, known as HuMP,
are the local Morris Dance Side founded in 1989
by Tim Taylor and his wife Christine, who live in Hurst.
HuMP aim to keep alive the tradition of Morris Dance and Music
through their performances of Cotswold Dances.
From October to April they practise in Hurst Village Hall
on Thursday evenings and retire to the pub afterwards
for a well-earned drink.
From May till September they participate in many varied
local and national events
- from fetes to festivals, weddings and shows.
Morris Dancing is a most enjoyable and sociable pastime
- an excellent way to keep fit and a delightful way
to perpetuate some wonderful music and dances.
New members are always very welcome.
